BUT THERE IS A 90% CHANCE THAT WE ARE GOING.

THIS WEEK IN TBIRD NEWS!!!
We had a GREAT week in TBIRD football!!! All our teams did well and we couldn’t be
prouder!!!! We are playing Bel Air this week! Freshman and JV are playing on Thursday night
at Bel Air with the Freshman at 5:00 and the JV at 7:00 p.m. Come out and show your support!!
Our Varsity will be playing at home on Friday, October 7 at 7:00 p.m. Come wearing your
TBIRD gear and help us support our TBIRD Football boys!!!!
Concessions will be open right after school on Friday. We will have hotdogs, bbq sandwiches
and nachos for sell! Come and support our concessions early this Friday on game day!!!!

Las Palmas Life Care Center is providing all our football boys the opportunity to have a FREE
EEG and EKG screening on Saturday October 8th from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. There is NO
CHARGE for our football boys for this screening. A parent MUST accompany their son to this
screening, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!! Thank you Las Palmas for helping to take care of our boys!!!!
Our weekly booster meeting will be held this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.! Please come and join us
for our meeting! We will be discussing upcoming events as well as showing the hilight film from
our Socorro game! Our DVD's will be for sale for $15.
JOIN THE BOOSTER CLUB!!!! For $20 you can be a member of the football boosters and
help support our football boys!! You will receive a free seat cushion for your membership!!!

We had a great first week in Coronado High School Football.....we didn't get the "W", but our boys played their hearts out. Our scoreboard was not up to par, but we are working on that as hard as we possibly can! Our program was fantastic! Thanks to you all for your support of our football program! Every week we will have an article near the back of the program that is about our previous week game. Look for that in our next program issue!
Please join us this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m for our weekly Booster meetings! We look forward to seeing you! We will have a hi-lite film of the varsity game to show you at the end of our meeting. We'll be selling a complete video of the game as well as the hi-lite reel for $10.00 each.
If you have not yet joined the Booster Club, please do so! We will have membership forms available at all home games and Booster meetings. Our memberships are very important and we would appreciate your support. We will be giving a seat cushion free with every membership we receive!
We are having a tailgate before every home game this year! Our tailgates are free to the public and we are doing this to promote TBIRD spirit and community with our fans! Please come out and join us from 5:00 to 6:30 on game days for food and fun before our home games! We will be serving hot dogs and chili dogs this week before the Midland Lee game! We are asking our parents who wish to donate to THIS weeks tailgate to bring us a box of hotdogs and/or a bag of buns for our tailgate! Bring your donation to the coach’s office or send with your son. We would like these donations no later than Wednesday night at our Booster meeting! This week we will be asking our tailgate fans who attend the tailgate to bring school supplies as a donation for the tailgate! We would like to gather as many school supplies as possible and help give back to our CHS community.
If you have not yet brought your box of candy for concessions, please do so! You can turn it in to one of the coaches, or bring it to our next Booster meeting!

Dear Parents & Friends:
Many teams have inquired as to how the family members and friends can show support for their team. Attached is an order form that will allow you to purchase Football Jerseys with their son’s name & number on them. THIS, BY NO MEANS, IS MANDATORY. However, visible support at the games is always beneficial to the team, as well as appreciated by the coaching staff. Any and all profits derived form the sale of these items goes directly to the team fund. Orders are due by tomorrow August 22nd to have Jersey be available by the Midland Lee game. 10TH 11TH AND 12TH GRADE BOYS WILL START 2 A DAYS PRACTICE ON MONDAY, AUGUST 8TH STARTING AT 8:00 A.M. PROMPT! BE READY AND ON THE FIELD BY 8 A.M. PRACTICE WILL GO UNTIL 10 A.M. AND BREAK FROM 10:00 A.M. – 11:30 A.M. YOU MUST BE READY AND BACK ON THE FIELD AT 11:30 UNTIL 1:45ish. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR PHYSICALS TURNED IN BEFORE YOU CAN PRACTICE! NO PHYSICAL, NO PRACTICE. THIS IS FOR ALL GRADES! 9TH GRADE BOYS WILL HAVE PRACTICE ON MONDAY, AUGUST 8TH STARTING AT 9:45 A.M. UNTIL 11:30 EVERY DAY. THERE WILL ONLY BE ONE PRACTICE A DAY FOR 9TH GRADE BOYS.
SPIRIT PACKS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE FOR $16 STARTING MONDAY MORNING. ALL PLAYERS ARE REQUIRED TO BUY THIS PACK. IT INCLUDES A PRACTICE TSHIRT AND SHORTS. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR THIS PRACTICE TSHIRT AND SHORTS EVERY DAY TO PRACTICE ALONG WITH YOUR HELMET!
TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL PICTURES WILL BE TAKEN ON SATURDAY AUGUST 13TH. TIME WILL BE POSTED LATER IN THE WEEK. THE SECOND WEEK OF PRACTICE FOR ALL GRADES WILL BE POSTED LATER ON NEXT WEEK. WEAR AND BRING SUNSCREEN AND YOUR WATER BOTTLE!!!

We would like to welcome you to CHS Football. We will be having our MANDATORY Parent Meeting on Wednesday, August 3rd at 530 p.m. in the CHS Cafeteria. This meeting is a requirement for ALL parents to attend. If you do not attend this meeting, your son will not be able to practice starting August the 8th. We will be having a BBQ after the meeting that we would love for you and your family to attend. There will be no cost for the BBQ. If you know someone whose name is not on the email list, please let us know and we will add them.
Pepsi will be our major sponsor this year and will be providing the Gatorade and drinks for our players, as well as drinks for the concession stand. Instead of asking parents for Gatorade Powder and Sodas, we are asking each Football player to bring 1 Box of Candy for our concession. Example: candy bars, lollipops, sour candy, skittles, chocolate, etc.
PLEASE bring your item to the meeting on August 3rd or drop it by the coaches office by AUGUST 19th so that we will know what we have for the season.
We are also asking the parent’s of each Football player to work one shift in the concession stand. We understand that parent’s want to watch their son play so the Varsity parents will work the JV and Freshman games and the JV and Freshman parents will work the Varity games. When you sign up for a shift at the Parent Meeting, we will give you a ticket for you and your family for the BBQ that we will be having after the meeting!
Please attend our weekly booster club meetings every Wednesday at 6 p.m. during the football season.. We will strive to make all parents welcome and feel a part of the CHS football team. Remember that your involvement is the key to the success of our association.
